16. Visual Puns.
Pun: A play on words, usually the assignment of different meanings to similarly sounding words or phrases, with humorous intent.
Visual Pun: A drawing, cartoon, photograph, etc. depicting objects arranged so that the names of the objects or a description of their placement suggests a play on words.
Examples: Hot Dog (a dog in the sun), Fast Food, Pie in the Sky, Little Brother, Arm Chair, Fire Drill, Tooth Brush
You will be creating 2 different visual puns.
Step 1
Go to the internet and find at least two images to create a visual pun. Save the original images to your folder, because you will need to add those original images to your weebly page.
Open Adobe Photoshop. Create a new project that is 8.5 wide by 11 inches tall, resolution 150. Combine you images to represent your visual pun. Some useful tools will be the magic wand, eraser tool, and transform tool.
Step 2
When you finish creating the pun, save each image (before and after) as a .jpeg, medium quality. Open your weebly page. Add these images to your slideshow. Publish your page.
