20. Soda Can design.
For this project you are creating a soda can design by designing your own brush, and flavor of soda.
Step 1
Open Adobe Photoshop, and create a new project that is 4.25 inches tall by 8.5 inches wide, resolution 150.
Fill the background with a color or a gradient that compliments your soda. If you are creating a chocolate soda, you may want to use a brown background, if you are creating a strawberry soda you may want to use a red background.
Step 2
Use the text tool to type the name of your soda. You will also use the text tool to type the ingredients. You must have at least 3 ingredients in your soda. Type the number of ounces on your can usually 12 ounces for this size can.
Step 3
Create a brush as a form of design on you soda label. See lesson 5 on how to create a brush.
Step 4
Find an image of a bar code for your soda label. You may also create a brush using the bar code. This will allow you to change the color and not have a white background behind the bar code.
Your goal is to create a soda can design that is as realistic as possible. You may want to look at actual soda can designs on the internet for inspiration.
Step 5
When you finished creating your soda can design, save the image as a .jpeg, medium quality. Open your weebly page. Add this image to your slideshow. Publish your page.
